Artist Statement

Lisah Horner received her degree in painting and printmaking from Ringling College of Art in Sarasota, FL. Her work has been shown throughout the United States and was featured in the Biennale Internazionale Dell'Arte Contemporanea, in Florence, Italy. She has also combined her career as a fine artist with a career in the professional arts with 15 years experience supporting executives and management.

Lisah has worked for multiple artist and performer-related organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area, managing experienced performers, artists, clients, staff, and assistants simultaneously. Since 2014, she has had the honor of assisting the owners of 32Ten Studios in San Rafael with organizing and implementing special screenings, events, and productions at their facility and sound stage. Most recently, she served as an Event Coordinator and co-host of the Star Wars 40th Anniversary Crew Reunion. Additionally, she curated and installed a special art exhibition at this event honoring the legacy of Industrial Light and Magic crewmembers. 

In her various roles in the arts, Lisah served as the Marketing Director and Development Manager for The Marsh theaters in San Francisco and Berkeley, Gallery Director of ACCI Gallery in Berkeley (2005-2013) and Artisans Gallery in Mill Valley (2001-2004), was the founding Executive Director of the Alameda Art Center, and an Arts Commissioner for the City of Berkeley.

She has been interviewed by Stanford Magazine, as well as radio stations KPFA and KQED, and was interviewed on NPR's 'All Things Considered.' In her various positions as gallery director, she produced over 100 regional and national juried exhibitions. In September 2012 she curated and installed her first international exhibition for Corsica, France.
